The Alde Garde Chronicles nr 5- 2014

2014 - NOVEMBER: CRISIS ANTWERP - WE PRESENTED A 1507 PIKE & SHOTTE DEMO IN 25/28mm.
As always a great show, congrats to the organisers TSoA and see you in 2015
An overview of our demo; Jan explaining, Peter thinking
the helicopter view
Gueldress camp
the fortified farm
of course, selfmade
Astonishing 1941 game; great how they have made that hill
and with eye for detail
A ww1 game
A selfmade castle, looks great
a desert table
well lit
French-Indian wargame. The fortress looks very good
2014 - APRIL: KASTEELTUINEN ARCEN NETHERLANDS - WE TOOK OUR MEDIEVAL GAME IN 25/28MM WITH US. RULES: HAIL CEASAR
The Kasteeltuinen (Castle gardens) is a 17th century castle with gardens, open to visitors and they organise some events during the year; this one with a medieval theme was at Eastern.
Underneath photo's of the site, our demo and the medieval jousting which took place. They put us in a tropical surrounding!
A little rest after emptying our stuff from the car. A different location then the "normal" wargames room.
Our first visitors; I bet they never have seen wargames figures before!
our first spectators
but no comment from them
building up in progress
Finished without the figures
What a surrounding
and with figures
In the background the medieval camp
but first; medeival feasting
modern tabels, but the food and beer was good!
we caught this one trying to use our Last Valley trees as a source for nesting material
The city of Venlo, impression
The market
stall
thief
harbour
defenders
the battle
impressive cavalry
bowmen
also bowmen, but now in real
the jousting
the black knight
the artillery
a look from the churchtower in Venlo
we had a great audience
a lot of explaining to do
in various languages, as Arcen is near the border a lot of German visitors came along. We even had a lost Australian couple
and of all ages
Uden/Netherlands: May 2015 Impact Wargames show by the "Hired Guns"
We also presented the India demo at the Uden wargames show; some (better lighted)  pictures:
WARCON26 Gent-Brugge
At the beginning of March 2014 we presented our India 7YW demo in 15mm at the Warcon26 show in Gentbrugge.
